Summer convention season is already in full swing, and coming up in August we have the likes of Anime NYC, Comiket, and a whole host of more local cons, so here are our survival tips to make the most of your time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure you sleep and eat<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We know that attending a con is a lot of fun, and sometimes you can get caught up in the moment. It’s very important to make sure that you take the time to properly rest and fuel your body, though, so you can keep enjoying yourself! Leave space in your schedule for meals and make sure you get enough rest at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check the weather forecast<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s always good to make sure you take a glance at what the weather holds in store for you the day of the event. Whether it’s going to be blisteringly hot, or a torrential downpour, being prepared means you won’t be caught out in the rain with no umbrella!
And remember – sunscreen is important!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stay cool<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer means it’s hot outside, and likely pretty warm inside even with the aircon blasting. There are plenty of options to help cool you down these days, from the old school to the new. Make use of handy fans, sweat-wicking clothing, cool drinks, and cooling sprays to keep heat exhaustion at bay!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take breaks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule some time in between all the fun to rest up and recharge! Being on your feet all day can be tough, especially in huge crowds, so make sure you rest your feet and get a snack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Personal hygiene<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being extra hot means sweating a lot more than usual, which can make for a harder time staying fresh. Showering at least once a day and using deodorant will go a long way in those crowded con halls! You can even grab refreshing wipes to help you stay sweat-free and smelling fresh these days!
Washing your hands is also an important point to mention here. Without fail, after a gathering as large as these conventions, someone is bound to get sick. Lessen your chances by washing your hands properly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
